04.04.2026 Aydın Commodity Exchange Attended the “Workplace Products and Handicrafts Fair"

Members of Aydın Commodity Exchange attended the “Workplace Products and Handicrafts Fair” organized by the Directorate General of Prisons and Detention Houses under the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Türkiye.

Aydın Commodity Exchange Assembly President A. Bahri Erdel and Vice Chairman of the Board Cengiz Ülgen participated in the ceremony, which was also attended by the Governor of Aydın Yakup Canbolat, Members of Parliament Mustafa Savaş and Ömer Özmen, representatives of public institutions and organizations, local administrators, and numerous guests.

Following a moment of silence and the Turkish National Anthem, the program continued with folk dance performances and a show by the Aydın Metropolitan Municipality Women’s Mehter Band, which attracted great interest. The fair featured hundreds of products produced by inmates and convicts, including food, textiles, handicrafts, souvenirs, and leather goods.

In his remarks, Assembly President A. Bahri Erdel stated:

“The presentation of production activities and handicrafts carried out within the framework of workplace institutions is of great importance in terms of raising social awareness. I would like to thank everyone who contributed to this meaningful organization.”
