05.12.2025 Chairman of the Board of the Aydın Commodity Exchange, Fevzi Çondur, Attended the TOBB Joint Council Meeting

Chairman of the Board of the Aydın Commodity Exchange, Fevzi Çondur, participated in the Joint Council Meeting of TOBB, which brought together Commodity Exchanges, Chambers of Commerce and Industry, Chambers of Commerce, Chambers of Industry and Chambers of Maritime Commerce. The meeting was hosted by TOBB President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu and attended by Vice President of the Republic of Türkiye Cevdet Yılmaz, along with council members.

In his speech, M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu stated that global trade wars and protectionist tendencies are increasing worldwide, leading to a slowdown in global growth and trade, and signaling a challenging period for the economy. He emphasized that small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) are experiencing difficulties in accessing credit, noting that high interest rates and restrictions on credit growth are making payments more difficult and reducing commercial activity. He underlined the importance of positive discrimination in support mechanisms for SMEs.

Participating in the meeting, Fevzi Çondur stressed that steps to facilitate SMEs’ access to finance are critical for the sustainability of production and employment. He also stated that practices aimed at reducing cost pressures in exports and supporting labor-intensive sectors should be expanded.
