08.03.2026 “Women’s Labor and Solidarity Table” Iftar Program Held in Aydın on March 8 International Women’s Day

In collaboration with Aydın Commodity Exchange, TOBB Aydın Provincial Women Entrepreneurs Council, and the Aydın Provincial Directorate of Family and Social Services, an iftar program titled “Women’s Labor and Solidarity Table” was organized within the scope of March 8 International Women’s Day.

The program was attended by Aydın Commodity Exchange Assembly President A. Bahri Erdel, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors Cengiz Ülgen, Board Member Rıza Uyar, Aydın Provincial Director of Family and Social Services İlkay Türkoğlu, TOBB Aydın Provincial Women Entrepreneurs Council Chair Güler Kurudere Akbaş, Vice Chair Berna Akyüzlü along with executive committee members, as well as Women Entrepreneurs Council executive members from Aydın, Nazilli, Didim, and Kuşadası Chambers of Commerce. Representatives from the Provincial Directorate of Youth and Sports, Social Assistance and Solidarity Directorate, Provincial Police Department, and Provincial Health Directorate also attended the event.

Bringing together women entrepreneurs, institutional representatives, and guests, the iftar program highlighted both the spirit of unity and sharing of Ramadan and the significance of March 8 International Women’s Day. The event emphasized the role of women’s labor in society and the economy, while delivering messages aimed at strengthening women’s solidarity. Discussions were also held on increasing the visibility of women’s contributions and supporting women’s entrepreneurship.

Within the scope of the program, a meaningful gathering was held with the participation of women supported under the coordination of the Aydın Provincial Directorate of Family and Social Services, further reinforcing women’s solidarity.

Aydın Commodity Exchange Assembly President A. Bahri Erdel stated that the role of women in social and economic life is strengthening day by day, and said:

“Our women take part in production, entrepreneurship, and all areas of social life with great dedication. Supporting women’s labor and strengthening women’s entrepreneurship are key elements of sustainable development. I believe that this meaningful gathering, organized on the occasion of March 8 International Women’s Day, will further strengthen solidarity among our women.”
