Governor of Aydın Dr. Osman Varol paid a return visit to Aydın Commodity Exchange.

During the visit, Governor Varol was welcomed by Aydın Commodity Exchange Chairman of the Board Fevzi Çondur, Assembly Chairman A. Bahri Erdel, Deputy Assembly Chairmen Ahmet Şenel and Ali Çevik, Deputy Chairman of the Board Cengiz Ülgen, Board Members Cihan Can and Rıza Uyar, Assembly Members Mehmet Akkan, M. Hakan Adalı, Ali Rıza Vural and Mehmet Ali Avcu, and Secretary General Neslihan Duymaz.

During the visit, Aydın Commodity Exchange Chairman of the Board Fevzi Çondur provided information on the activities carried out by the Exchange, ongoing projects, services offered to members, as well as Aydın’s agricultural production capacity and commercial potential.

During the meeting, discussions were held on Aydın’s strategic position in the agricultural sector, the economic value of its geographical indication products, the volume of trade based on agriculture, and initiatives contributing to the development of the province. Additionally, views were exchanged on recent developments in dried fig exports, cotton support policies, cost and productivity factors in the livestock sector, and efforts to combat counterfeiting and adulteration in the olive and olive oil sectors.

As part of the program, Aydın Commodity Exchange AYTB Laboratory was also visited. Governor Varol was informed about the analysis, quality control, and food safety studies carried out at the laboratory and emphasized the importance of laboratory services in maintaining quality standards for agricultural products and increasing competitiveness in international markets.

Aydın Commodity Exchange Chairman of the Board Fevzi Çondur expressed his gratitude to Dr. Osman Varol, Governor of Aydın, Republic of Türkiye, for his gracious visit and stated that the Exchange will continue to work in cooperation with the Governorship and relevant stakeholders to further enhance Aydın’s production, trade, and export potential.
