28.04.2026 Cotton Sector Agenda Discussed with Minister Yumaklı

Fevzi Çondur, Chairman of the Board of Aydın Commodity Exchange  and also Chairman of the Board of the National Cotton Consey, attended the evaluation meeting held in Ankara and hosted by İbrahim Yumaklı.

The meeting brought together the chairpersons of sector councils representing cereals, pulses, citrus fruits, cotton, hazelnuts, tea, olives, red meat, and dairy products. Discussions focused on the current situation of the sectors, expectations for the upcoming harvest season, and future perspectives. The participants also evaluated recently implemented regulations, particularly production planning policies, as well as the impacts of the “New Normal” process on the sectors.

Commenting on the meeting, Fevzi Çondur stated:

“At the meeting, where we represented the cotton sector, we had the opportunity to convey the challenges faced by our producers and present our proposed solutions to our Minister. As we approach the new harvest season, we believe that production planning and sustainability-oriented initiatives are of great importance for our sector.”
