29.10.2025 Aydın Officials Celebrate the 102nd Anniversary of Republic Day

Aydın Commodity Exchange Assembly Chairman A. Bahri Erdel, Deputy Chairman Ali Çevik, and Vice Chairman Cengiz Ülgen participated in Republic Day celebrations on October 29, marking the 102nd anniversary of the founding of the Turkish Republic.

The commemorations began with a wreath-laying ceremony at the Atatürk bust in honor of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk and his comrades, organized by the Aydın Governorship, Garrison Command, and Aydın Metropolitan Municipality. The events continued with a ceremony at İstasyon Square, where Governor Yakup Canbolat, Garrison Commander Major General Gökhan Çelik, and Mayor Özlem Çerçioğlu greeted the public. The program included a moment of silence, the national anthem, and various cultural performances.

A reception was held at Akarsu Park, hosted by Governor Canbolat and his wife, during which he highlighted the Republic as a symbol of national unity, independence, and modernization, and paid tribute to the heroes of the War of Independence. Assembly Chairman Erdel emphasized that the Republic represents the rebirth, freedom, unity, and determination of the Turkish nation and reaffirmed the commitment to advancing the Republic toward contemporary civilization, honoring the legacy of Atatürk and all martyrs and veterans.
