30.03.2026 Ali Çevik, Vice Chairman of the Assembly of Aydın Commodity Exchange, Attends Buharkent Ilek Orchards Opening Ceremony

Under the leadership of Buharkent Municipality, the opening ceremony of the 1st and 2nd Phase “Ilek Orchards” was held within the scope of a project aimed at ensuring continuity in production, improving quality, and balancing the rising prices of ilek (caprifig), which plays a vital role in fig production, through local sourcing.

Ali Çevik, Vice Chairman of the Assembly of Aydın Commodity Exchange, attended the ceremony.

In his remarks on the project, Ali Çevik stated:

“Ensuring access to ilek is of great importance for the sustainability of fig production. With this project implemented in Buharkent district, producers will be able to access high-quality and affordable ilek, while also contributing to market balance. We highly value such investments that ease the burden on producers and strengthen sustainability in agriculture, and I would like to thank all institutions and organizations involved.”
